Public Health Healthcare Administration Minor

The minor in healthcare administration is designed to equip students with the essential knowledge and skills that will prepare them for the rigorous and interdisciplinary healthcare environment. The curriculum is designed to educate students in advanced topics in healthcare while preparing them with the basic skills necessary to enter the field or further their studies in graduate school. The minor is open to all Newcomb-Tulane College students and is intended to be paired with majors to emphasize the interdisciplinary nature of healthcare.
Students will be required to take 15 hours of required coursework and one elective course to complete this minor.

If not taken as a required course for the minor, this course can satisfy the Approved Elective" area.
Per university policy, students are not permitted to share credits between minors. Only three credit hours/one course can be shared between the minor in Public Health Healthcare Administration and a student's major. For Public Health majors also minoring in Public Health Healthcare Administration (PHHM), SPHU 3010 Foundations of Health Care Systems (3 c.h.) is the only class that can overlap between the major and the minor.
