Additional Information on the Department of Economics

A Bachelor of Science in Economics requires 30 credit hours of economics courses, at least half of which must be taken at Tulane, to include:


Course Work for the B.S. degree

Three additional economics courses

Excluding Economics 388 and 389.


Mathematics classes

Note(s)

We recommend that students who wish to pursue graduate studies in economics take additional courses in mathematics, including Math 221 Calculus III, Math 301 Probability and Statistics, and Math 309 Linear Algebra.
