SPHU 427 Ethics and Environmental Health

This course focuses on exploring the relationships between ethical issues and environmental health. It does so by encouraging students to develop practical and analytical skills to advocate policy changes to strengthen the understanding between the environment and health promotion practices. Topics including environmental equity, environmental racism and relationships between the location of environmental health hazards and socioeconomic makeup of the surrounding communities are discussed. In addition to lectures, it is anticipated that students will engage in plenary and small discussions.
