FREN 301 Topics in French Cultural Studies

Topics of literary, cultural, and historical interest are offered on a regular basis by departmental faculty. The course is designed to introduce students to France from a variety of critical perspectives. These may include social space, Le Grand Sicle, autobiography, Paris as myth and reality, civility, food, institutions of schooling or the cultural production of Frenchness. Offered in translation.

notes: A writing practicum is available for students who wish to fulfill the college intensive-writing requirement with this course.
