EDUC 380 Methods of Reading Instruction

This course provides the needed foundational knowledge of reading and writing processes and the instructional practices, methods, and curricular materials to support reading and writing instruction. Students will examine a variety of assessment and planning tools, evaluate the effectiveness of reading instruction and analyze the interrelationship of foundational knowledge, instructional practices and materials on the development of a literacy environment that fosters growth in reading, writing, listening and speaking skills for K-12 students.
