EDLA 316 Childrens and Adolescent Literature

This course is designed to give prospective educators an overview of the field of childrens and adolescent literature and will provide candidates with the necessary knowledge and tools to choose appropriate texts which promote multicultural sensitivity, growth in critical thinking skills, and development of literacy skills. Readings and assignments will be differentiated based on the candidates area of certification.

notes: There is a 20 hour service learning experience required for all students in this course.
