A major in Italian Studies consists of 30 credits, which must include the year-long course Italian Studies

Additional Information

The balance of the credits will be selected from the list of courses offered in a range of departments and from the second year-long course. At least one course must be taken from two different time periods: ancient, medieval, Renaissance, and modern; and at least one course must be taken from three different fields: art history, classics, history, Italian, music, and political science. Students will design their program of study in consultation with an adviser in the department of their principal interest assigned to them by one of the co-directors after an initial interview. Students are required to complete Italian 203 or equivalent.
